\n– It’s a good option if you don’t mind getting pregnant. Most people do not use the sponge correctly, so women often wind up pregnant. If you do not want to get pregnant or have a baby, think about using a different method.
\n– Neither you nor your partner should be able to feel the sponge.
\n– No prescription is necessary.

What are the side effects of a contraceptive sponge?

– Women who are allergic to sulfa drugs, polyurethane, or spermicide may have an allergic reaction.

Disadvantages of using a contraceptive sponge
